Academy of DJs is a DJ school set with a purpose greater than just showing students how to blend songs and beat match. They are there to mentor, instill passion and ambition, and to show you what it really takes to be a DJ in this modern day industry. Academy of DJs have the network and experience to kickstart your DJ career to limits you could only dream about. They not only teach their students the art of DJing, but they put their students to the test with gigs, networking, shadowing and opportunities to put their new found skills to use!

I began the branding for this by researching different design elements that would best represent the school's mission and values. I looked at various fonts, and visual symbols that would resonate with the school's target audience - aspiring DJs who were looking for an exciting and challenging learning experience. After several rounds of brainstorming and initial drafts, we settled on a sleek and modern logo that combined bold typography with an iconic turntable needle integrated in the wordmark to convey a sense of ambition, challenge, and fun.

The final logo was used across a range of materials, from digital media to printed materials like business cards and stationery. However, the client and I recognized the value of creating branded merchandise like shirts to help promote the school and build a sense of community among its students.
